Last week we got in a fantastic new strap-on from Spareparts named the Deuce Male Harness. This is a new harness that is made specifically for men; it's about time that we start catering to ALL the people who utilize strap-on devices! While strap-on harnesses are generally more associated with women, they can be a great and useful tool for men who are unable to or don't want to penetrate their partner with their penis - and for men who just love to play with dils'.
When picking up a strap-on system (dildo & harness), it is this humble writer's opinion that ideally all partners should be a part of the selection if possible. The wearer(s) needs to be able to select a harness that fits their body and is comfortable to wear, whereas the partner(s) who will be penetrated should be involved in selecting a dildo or vibrator attachment that appeals to them. Obviously partnered shopping trips aren't always feasible, in which case the wearer should be doing the selecting; the comfort and fit of the harness is of the utmost importance.
If a strap-on harness catches your eye make sure to inspect it for quality before purchasing We are sadly very familiar with products that are aesthetically pleasing but seriously lacking in quality, which is why all the strap-on harnesses at our store have passed very rigorous quality testing. You need to make sure it's not going to fall apart mid use! Check that harness straps and buckles are sturdy and durable; if you are shopping in a store, ask the clerk if it's possible to inspect the harness out of its packaging. Determine whether or not the harness will fit your individual build comfortably and securely. Once upon a time, strap-ons were almost exclusively made to fit petite, gender typical women, but more products are emerging on the market that can be worn by people of all shapes and sizes, and accommodate and provide support for the wearer's penis and testicles, if needed.
The Crown Harness can fit hips up to 64 inches and thighs up to 28 inches
If possible, buy your dildo at the same time so you can ensure that your and/or your partner(s)' favourite will fit in your harness. There are lots to choose from in a variety of realistic and non-realistic designs. Some harnesses are adjustable to the girth of your dildo, whereas others aren't, and for some you can buy additional larger or smaller sized rings to hold your dildo in place. Your chosen dildo must have some sort of flared base to remain secure in the harness, but if you and/or your partner(s) prefer a dildo complete with testicles you will need to make sure that your harness can accommodate that design (most can). When selecting a dildo try to stick to safer materials like 100% silicone or elastomer rubber. For wearers in possession of a vagina, there are many different models of double dildos that are designed to adapt to the strap-on. Strap-on harnesses that include a vibrator or can be used with a double dildo can provide some additional physical stimulation to the wearer.
Also, remember to pick up some condoms as well if the toy will be inserted into more than one person or may be used for anal penetration. Happy playing!
