What People Really Look Like

Friday September 21, 2012
In my daily troll of time-wasting stuff on the internet, I came across this picture.

That is comedian Kathy Griffin without any makeup. Now, I know, this is of no relevance to anything whatsoever but it just shocked me and I felt compelled to make a comment about it.

The text below the picture described how utterly scary she looks without the makeup and hair styling. I couldn't disagree more. I was...

Zumanity Delivers the Goods

Thursday September 13, 2012
I just returned from a trip to Las Vegas for the AVN trade show (so happy to be home). One of the big highlights of the trip was getting to finally see Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity. I've wanted to see it ever since I first heard about it but the show only plays in Vegas. Last time I was there, I chose Prince instead of Zumanity (totally worth it). This has been an incredible week; mark your calendars and make a mental note, because many health advocates are declaring this to be the first sign of a 'tipping point' in our battle against HIV/AIDS. And it's tipping in our favour. The third and fourth major studies released today, that provide hopeful evidence that Truvada (aka a single pill combining doses of Tenofovir and Emtricitabine), taken once daily, is significantly, though not completely, effective at preventing HIV transmission between sexual partners. This is a BIG deal.

BDSM 101 Primer

Monday September 10, 2012

Happy Monday everyone!

This Saturday, the Traveling Tickle Trunk is hosting it's first BDSM 101 workshop for all those curious, interested and invested in the BDSM scene in Edmonton. There are still a few spots open if you'd like to attend; $25 to register, and you can register a friend, lover, etc. for $15. I caught up with Rusty, the BDSM guru who will be presenting the workshop at our store on Saturday and he was kind enough to answer some of my questions!
